Around 1996, Swanenberg IJzergroep took over the former riding-school, that was called "De Bossehoeve" at the time and was situated at Duifhuisstraat 2 in Schaijk. The riding-school existed about 25 years and when it was build it was one of the most modern riding-schools in Holland. However, during the 25 years, few maintenance had been done so that the building looked kind of cheerless.

Swanenberg named the riding-school "Stal Swanenberg" and started a giant conversion. The old stables where broken down and where completely renewed. Also, a lot of luxury has been placed such as a washing place for the horses with a solarium. Outdoors, official dressage circles and a jumping garden have been constructed and a treadmill and a jury tower have been placed. In addition, the riding hall has been foreseen of new walls.

In 1998, the stable received the certificate "5 stars" from the FNRS (Federation of Dutch Riding-Schools). The FNRS only declared that it was a pity that the organization of indoor National and/or International dressage and jumping events was not possible because of the lack of enough covert accommodation.

Since then, Swanenberg is trying to receive a license which allows him to build a second indoor riding hall. This is necessary, to have the disposal of better opportunities for rider and horse to train in a riding hall that has official competition sizes and to prepare for competitions. Also, Swanenberg wants to rebuild the old farm that has been burned down, but the commune baffles this plan so far. This is also the reason for the forefront of the riding hall not being renewed yet, because it will be done in the same time as the building of the new riding hall.

Currently, Swanenberg is mainly aiming at the training and guidance of young talented dressage riders. Several young talents are training their horses at Stal Swanenberg at the moment. Because of the unique cooperation of these talents, Swanenberg hopes to play part in the improvement of the achievements of these riders and their horses.
